Exploring Christianity: a new course will be starting in the middle of this month. If you are interested in joining this please sign up on the list in the foyer or contact Jonathan or Rupert.

Period of prayer: we will be having a period of prayer from Wednesday 14th January to Saturday 17th January. There will be a number of opportunities to join others in the church, but we would like to encourage all to make this a special period of prayer. More details will follow next week.

Men's Breakfast - Saturday 10th at 7.30 am; Paul Bright will be speaking "Life beyond the Cops" and sharing about his involvement with the Street Pastors initiative in Bath, all men welcome, names to Ross, Bob or Carlos please.

Ladies Brunch; next Saturday 09.30 -11.00; all ladies welcome; please give names to Shirley Furze.

CDs: A new single-CD compilation of MP3 recordings of 44 sermons on the Book of Psalms will be available from Sunday 23rd November. The series has been compiled from sermons given at Widcombe by a number of preachers over the past three years. See Gerald for more information or to place an order.

Bristol Women’s Conference will be held on 7th March 2009 at Kensington Baptist Church. The conference is entitled “Jesus Our Joy” and the main speaker is Barbara Sherwood. The cost is £10 including lunch & refreshments. More details can be found on the table in the foyer or log on to www.bristolwomensconference.org.

The Good Book Company Big Issue Conference - The Real Jesus! This should appeal to anyone working with youth, thinking of working in youth, parents and anyone who wants to explore the way we present Jesus to our young people (basically everyone!) Saturday, 21st March, 2009, 9:30am - 4:15pm at Kensington Baptist, Bristol. Please contact Paul Kennedy for more details if you are interested. If we get more than 5 people we get a discount!
